....and what is a birthday without cake?! This box of 12 was requested for a special occasion, and what better flavour to be than Rainbow. Topped with fluffy cream cheese icing, a few simple sugar paste decorations and a lil' bit of edible glitter, these cupcakes made for a lovely birthday surprise.
The 'Happy Birthday' sugar paste lettering added a fun and colourful finish, despite being extremely fiddly to work with! Cupcakes with messaging on them are a great gift idea when you're stuck...or you know, just along side the other presents ;).
This time round the rainbow cupcakes came out a lot brighter and the layers were much more defined. Using food colouring paste ensures this is the case, and when you layer up your different coloured batters try not to spread them out! My cupcake tip of the day for ya.
