TEA & CAKE: Jean Luc Pelé, Cannes, France

Last weekend I took an exciting little trip to Cannes! Before London got hit with the heatwave (which, following on from my last post, really didn't last long at all) a friend and I booked a last minute weekend away to try and get a few days of sun in the South of France. Of course, a French dessert filled blog post now follows.

Cannes was beautiful, but one thing that really surprised me was the food. It was so good! No matter which restaurant we went to, we were not disappointed. It was therefore no surprise to me when we came across this gem of a patisserie on the famous Rue d'Antibes.

Jean Luc Pele caught our attention with the beautiful, colourful stacks of macaroons in the window, but it just got better and better as we walked inside. There is most definitely a dessert for every type of person, from chocolate brownies and fruit tarts, to cakes and pastries...the list goes on!

Adding to the charm was the fact that everything was perfectly presented, not forgetting the pink, green and brown decor. I honestly didn't know where to look...I felt like I was in bakery heaven! So if you are around the South of France, it's definitely worth a trip to this little place. Grab yourself one of their mouth-watering macaroons and take a stroll down the Rue d'Antibes for a spot of shopping. You will not be disappointed!

I'm loving your 'Tea+Cake' feature, it makes me crave sweet treats! You're very lucky to be able to plan last minute weekends to France, living so far away from everything in Australia things like that are just hard to believe!
